Beautiful Martin & Martin Side Saddle reinforced for jumping & hunting. This is a nice example of a hunting saddle from this prestigious old name maker. This saddle measures 22.5" long through the seat measured from the front of the fixed pommel to the rear of the seat. The seat measures a very generous 13.5" wide. The tree measures 7 1/2" between the breast collar D rings (to the actual tree) and 17.5" between the points, making it a larger medium-wide fit.
This saddle has brand new leather panels, billets, balance strap and balance girth done by Lillian Chaudhary of California. There is a two position leaping head to allow you to really get forward over fences or to keep a lovely long leg on the flat.
The saddle has a bulls-eye breakaway stirrup assembly with the correct fitting, leather and vintage stirrup iron. The leather panels are newer, replaced and properly flocked by Lillian. D rings are present for a breast collar (not included with the saddle).
There is a rough spot in the leather of the offside flap and slight crazing on the safe. Other than this, the saddle is in absolutely beautiful condition!
