Victorian Child's Side Saddle

 

The Side Saddlery is pleased to be able to present a Child's Victorian side saddle, appropriate for lead line classes.

The saddle has had a great deal of use in its 130 years. The Side Saddlery has replaced all of the billets with good English billet leather. The overgirth and Y shaped combination overgirth/balance strap are new. The safe has been replaced. The seat has a new doeskin overlay. The leaping head has been completely recovered. It comes with a new stirrup leather and a standard side saddle stirrup. The offside had a purse that has torn and is no longer functional.

The seat measures 14.5" from the front of the fixed head and is 10" wide. The gullet is 6" wide.
