Bill Farrow Custom Made Western Side Saddle.
A custom made western side saddle by well known saddler Bill Farrow of Laveen Arizona. The saddle is clearly marked on the fixed head and on the stirrup fender with the maker's logo. Beautiful basket weave tooling on a medium oil finish.
The saddle is built on a correct western saddle tree with proper support under your left hip and the correct stirrup placement, unlike many of the modern wetern saddles being marketed today. The seat measures 18" in length from the front of the upright pommel to the rear of the seat. The seat measures 14" in width. This is a WIDE tree measuring 8" in the gullets.
This is a nice shearling - real wool and in excellent condition. The stirrup is a hooded tapadero with tooling to match the rest of the saddle. The tapadero hood extends along the the side by the horse to protect the lady's shoe from sweat and dirt. The off side has a nice purse that closes with a buckle. There are a limited number of German silver conchos on the saddle.
The saddle is fully double rigged and includes the rear rigging and a connector strap to be used to your front girth so that it doesn't slip back. The saddle comes with the billets and latigos - add the right length cincha and you are ready to ride! The leather has been professionally cleaned and reconditioned. It is supple and in good condition throughout.
This saddle rides nicely! Priced at $1500.
