Presenting a nice Pretal Side Saddle.
Pretal was an South American maker of side saddles in the 1970's. All of their saddles were long seated - a boon for taller woman!
This Pretal was built circa 1976. It has lost its paper label. The seat and pommels are leather. The saddle has a standard modern English stirrup bar. The overgirth buckles under the horse. New leather panels, flocking and billets were redone by Lillian in California 2 years ago. D rings are present for the lady to attach her sandwich case and her breast collar (not included with the saddle).
The saddle comes complete with a fabric humane girth, a balance girth, a wintec stirrup leather and a stirrup.
The seat length is 24" from the front of the fixed head to the rear of the seat. Seat width is 13". Gullet measures 8 1/2 inches to the tree at the level of the D rings and 19 inches from the end of the short point to the end of the long point, making it a wide tree. This saddle is perfect for a taller lady with a large horse!
