Victorian Period Rail Side Saddle.  This saddle has been in the owner's family for generations, used by his grandmother, mother and aunt.  It has been kept as a decorative fixture inside the family's home since the 1950's.
 
The saddle has unusual decorative leather scroll work down the safe, and the unusual feature of the seat's leather running up to the offside rail.  The original saddle cloth remains, dating the saddle to the late 19th century.  Some leather damage as seen in the picture, one strap broken though it still comes with the saddle.  Wonderful decoration or a potential restoration project.
