Mayhew The Lissadell Side Saddle
Mayhew - The Lissadell side saddle - The "workhorse" of the Old Name English side saddles in a workman-like condition. The Lissadell model was a well built saddle intended for work on the flat and over fences.
This side saddle has a rich, dark pigskin seat with plenty of "stick", pigskin pommels and belgian linen over serge panels. The seat is 22 inches long by a generous 13 inches wide. The pommels are the wide "improved group" pommels that Mayhew is so well known for. The linen and serge panels are in good condition with the panel extending under the safe to support your right leg.
The saddle is a medium-wide fit. It is reinforced for jumping and rides quite nicely. This is a VERY nice saddle in great condition for the serious show rider or hunter!
It has D rings for your breast collar and your sandwich case on the offside. The billets are in good condition. The offside flap is quite narrow to show off your horse's profile.
The saddle has the Mayhew breakaway assembly. It comes with stirrup leather with Mayhew fitting a modern Cope safety stirrup, a balance girth, a shaped leather girth and a pad.
