Happy Fall!  The cooler weather is finally here though so are the shorter days.  Along with fox hunting and great trail riding weather, come long shaggy coats on horses and extra layers on humans.  But, that also means 2020 is closer to the end!

ISSO has been busy!  This latest issue of Aside World is packed with great material. Thank you Tammie Conway, ISSO Secretary, for another amazing issue! 

ISSO has also launched our 3rd virtual show.  Please consider entering. We have some super rosettes for winners!  You can find details on the ISSO Facebook page.

And, we have chosen a date and location for the 2021 Annual Gathering. On the weekend of March 19-21, 2021 we will hold the ISSO Annual Gathering and Awards dinner at Cedar Rock Ranch in Cumberland, VA!  We will be able to practice social distancing using this facility for all activities. We will again have mounted instruction where members can bring their horses for lessons with some awesome trainers, have live saddle fitting and some great unmounted sessions as well.  ISSO will have saddles and other items for sale and we invite members to bring items for sale as well.  And, we have the heated indoor arena for all of our activities.   Horses can be boarded for the weekend or trailered in for the day.  There are cabins to rent, a local motel, and trailer hookups available. It will be a relaxing weekend with all activities at the same facility.  Please put this event on your calendar and stay tuned for further updates. 

At this difficult time in our nation, I know that I speak for all of the ISSO Board members, in wishing you a peaceful and healthy holiday season as Thanksgiving is upon us in mere weeks, and the holiday season is just around the corner.  And, don’t forget to log some sidesaddle miles during this crazy time and work towards the ISSO sidesaddle mileage challenge!
