The International Side Saddle Organization is one of the oldest non-profit side saddle organizations in existence today. Founded in 1974 to promote the use of the side saddle and to provide a resource for those looking to learn more about this elegant way to ride, the mission statement remains the same today as when it was founded.
Whether you are new to side saddle or an experienced rider, we are here to provide you with the best information and education regarding your venture.
Classes include riding lessons from ISSO Certified Intructors, Instructor Certifications, saddle fitting, a talk on side saddles through the ages, core body building for riding side saddle, a presentation on costumed musical rides & much more. The annual awards banquet will recognize winners in our points program, including the International Side Saddle Champion.

We sponsor annual awards for riders and horses, members may sign up for and earn points in our programs. Part of our educational mandate is to assist instructors who wish to add side saddle to their repetoire. Our certification program for instructors provides assurance to your students of your competency to instruct them in this unique seat.
