Welcome to The International Side Saddle Organization!We're celebrating our 35th year! 1974 - 2009! The International Side Saddle Organization is one of the world's oldest formal groups devoted to the promotion and preservation of the fine art of riding aside. We strive to provide you with information, resources and educate you about riding aside, whether you are a rider, instuctor, or simply interested in knowing more about Side Saddle. Purchases from the sidesaddlery help us fund our mission to get more information and sidesaddles into the hands of those that need and want them. Whether you are interested in riding aside for the sheer beauty and elegance, or a serious competitor who wishes to refine your skills, ISSO is here for you. Ladies are currently riding aside in all disciplines, including, but
not limited to;
ISSO offers an awards program to those that are interested in competing for points. The annual awards banquet is loads of fun and a great time to meet with others that ride aside in different disciplines and use different breeds. ISSO has certified instructors and regional representatives to assist you in your goal of learning how to ride aside or if you are just interested in learning more about side saddle. Contact an instructor or regional representative in your area to see about setting up a clinic or demonstration. Many 4H groups take advantange of our educational programs.
