Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Board of ISSO has recognized the opportunity for several alternative awards programs for our members since we do not know what the traditional show calendar is going to look like this year. Therefore, we are excited to announce several new programs this year including a Virtual Show category and an ISSO Aside Mileage Challenge.
New Categories this Year:
Virtual Shows and Events Year End Award
You heard us right!
If you are participating in any virtual shows with aside photos or videos
then you can submit your points like you do for the other categories.
Points earned in competitions are calculated using the chart following these rules.
Points are awarded based on placing, points doubled if more than 25 entries in a class.
Screen shot of placing and number in the class along with copy of “prize list” required to substantiate. Points earned in an ISSO sponsored event are doubled.

This is a challenge against yourself with ISSO rewarding you in the end!
We have 50, 100, and 250 mile options. To be ridden aside or hand walked. Not astride.
If your derriere is in a side saddle then log it to get credit!
It can be practicing, in a lesson, or on the trails.
Mileage must be submitted within 30 days of ride with
last submitted no later then January 15 of the following year.
Awards given at year end to each individual for highest mileage completed
by that individual (ie. 50, 100 or 250 miles) in 2020.
Multiple ISSO registered mounts may be ridden as this is a rider based award.
Free to members! $40 for non-members and this includes an ISSO membership.
Screenshot of GPS tracker may be required to substantiate miles.
The use of apps is encouraged (such as Relive, Equilab, Track My Ride, etc).

All pictures are from practice for the PA Horse World Expo on Kenny Harlow's horse Critter at his facility. Kathleen Kenney was there taking a lesson and we coerced her to hop on and give side saddle a chance. Look at that smile- I think we may have "hooked" her, lol.
