The Above saddle belonged to Florence Scheble of Medford Oregon (Photo to Right). She was the favorite niece of pioneer Judge Thomas Burke of Seattle Washington, who had it custom made for her about 1900, when she was a little girl living on the family farm. She treasured it and always kept it in her house. When it passed down to her children, they displayed it on a rocking horse made especially for the saddle. It is now part of my collection and will be displayed at the Mexican Consulate of Portland, in an exhibition the first week of August.
